Ted Leo and the Pharmacists just rocked Neumos last Friday (see Laura Musselman’s photos of the show here) – now check out the video for the first single off The Brutalist Bricks, “The Mighty Sparrow,” courtesy of Pitchfork.tv. The clip is directed by Jack Ferry and is basically a simple performance video, which I don’t think we see enough of these days. The minimalism of the white backdrop puts most of the emphasis on the concentrated instrumentals and the agitated tone of the song. Leo can still rock like someone twenty years younger than he is.
