A Planetary Guide to the Summer

Curious about the ups and downs of the coming season? Look up.

Welcome to your summer astrological outlook! While Space Witch will be here every week to guide you through significant movements in our Solar System, having a seasonal map can be helpful for long-range planning. Use this summer guide to select the best times for your date nights, special events, and getaways, and to brace for the difficult days. You don’t have to hide inside a pillow fort during challenging days, just keep in mind that others will be struggling with their own tough stuff along with you, and try to show compassion.

From June through September, we’ll travel through four zodiac signs: Gemini, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo. Mercury will be retrograde from August 12 to September 5. The biggest celestial event of the summer is a pair of eclipses that will occur in August, starting with a full moon lunar eclipse (in Aquarius) on August 7, followed by a new moon solar eclipse (in Leo) on August 21. You’ll feel the build-up to these important eclipses throughout the summer, as eclipses mark major chapter-turnings and windows of significant change. Prepare to shake off some star dust and boldly enter the unknown.
