Roberto’s Venetian Trattoria has officially opened in Pike Place Market. The northern Italian trattoria with water views will serve dishes like Braised Veal Shank with Saffron-infused Risotto and many pasta dishes. We featured the restaurant earlier this year in a piece on restaurant architecture.

Pinot in the City returns to Seattle on September 11th – and showcases wines from six wineries in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Producers—ranging from larger pioneers like Adelsheim and Sokol Bloser to up-and-comers like Meriman and Redman—will highlight Pinot noir, but will also serve Chardonnays, Pinot blancs and Rieslings. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased online.

Coffee and beer continue to be compatible partners in Seattle. This fall, outdoor lifestyle company MiiR (known for its urban bicycles, water bottles and beer growlers) will launch a retail store in Fremont’s uber green Stone34 building. But it will sell more than just those products; there will also be a multi-roaster coffee bar, local craft beers on tap and growler fills on premises.

Madrona’s Bottlehouse hosts the Fourth Annual Cider Fete Sunday, September 14th from 2 to 6. Ten local and regional cideries will pour old and new brews with a backdrop of live music and a grilled cheese bar. Tickets are $22 in advance/$25 at the door. For more information, visit their website.
