I’m going out on a controversial limb here, but I believe Little Party and the Bad Business are the most punk-rock band in Seattle. If punk rock is truly about attitude and excitement, then these two barely legal, pasty-faced Casio-rocking keytards have more anarchy in the
nail of their grungy little toenails than most fools who can count 1-2-3-4 ever will. Their songs are simple, sometimes stupid, audience clap-alongs with ferocious hooks that will have you cursing them for two weeks. My fave these days is a laundry-room ditty (I think, but
who really knows) about apartment living titled “Free Box for a Free World,” with the repeat-till-you-puke chorus “Don’t hog the free box/Don’t hog the free box/Don’t hog the free box/It’s everyone’s. . . . ” With Joey Casio, Seahouse, and Summer Camp.
