On one hand, the pleasant weather weve been experiencing lately has been fantastic. But on the other, Im a little bummed that the solitude, opaque darkness, and frigid temperatures I encountered this winter wont be here when the Raveonettes come to town. The Danish duos new album, Lust Lust Lust, is a from-the-grave love affairgentle, sweet, sinister, and cruel all in onethat pushes the sonic limits of guitars and distortion pedals through elegant crescendos, and Sharin Foos cool voice to new realms of beauty, causing goose bumps to rise to the surface and send shivers to your heart. Their songs, structurally a marriage of the Jesus & Mary Chain and early-60s Motown girl groups, almost always end with a sad note, which may be why many of the 50 (not exaggerating) times I spent listening to Lust Lust Lust, I was looking out the window, watching the rain pour and wind blow like God was trying to flood us with sorrow. It felt so right, and I kept wanting more. Neumos, 925 E. Pike St., 709-9467. $12. 8 p.m. TRAVIS RITTER
