Co-founder of the insanely popular Kraken Congee Pop-Up and chef/owner of Irbille Edibles Pop Ups, Irbille Donia, has teamed up with Chef Justin Legaspi (The Harvest Vine, Olivar, Aragona) to bring us the modern Filipino “Lahi Pop Up.” Featuring dishes like Tamarind Soup and Braised Pork Tongue, the event takes place on March 3rd at Grub in Queen Anne. 2. Miller’s Guild is expanding their hours with breakfast, brunch, bar/happy hour and grab n go, which all launched yesterday. Menu highlights include Corned & Braised Beef Cheek with red wine shallot eggs and hash at breakfast/brunch, Beecher’s Cheddar Cheese Quiche with wild mushrooms and leeks at the Grab N Go counter, and Cheesy Pork Skins with harissa at the Monday through Friday happy hour. 3. The Washington Brewers Guild is gearing up for its 15th annual Washington Cask Beer Festival at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. Beer geeks rejoice: This year’s festival will be the largest ever, with 41 breweries pouring cask-conditioned beer. The event takes place on Saturday, March 22, and Seattle Beer News says to get your tickets now or risk them selling out.

4 The mess of light rail-related construction on Broadway has led to reduced foot traffic for local businesses along the busy Capitol Hill strip. To mitigate this, Sound Transit is offering a chance to win a three-mile underground walking tour of the U-Link tunnel from Capitol Hill to the University of Washington when you eat at Annapurna between now and March.
