Seattle and Reykjavik–the capital of Iceland–happen to be sister cities, and KEXP will commemorate this fact at a showcase that combines musicians from both cities (as well as Greenland and the Faroe Islands) tonight at Neumos. The “Reykjavik Calling: Sister City Showcase” will join Seattle music-scene fixtures like Sean Nelson, David Bazan, and Tomo Nakayama with Olof Arnalds (who revealed her top-10 iTunes tracks earlier this week), Snorri Helgason, Gudrid Hansdottir, and Nive Nielsen in what should be an entertaining juxtaposition of two music-centric cities. The free showcase begins at 8 p.m. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
