Last week I caught up with the Dead Weather’s Dean Fertita — he was in a cab in Washington, D.C. with Alison Mosshart, where the band was getting ready to kick off their national tour that will stop in Seattle on Sunday for Capitol Hill Block Party.
The Dead Weather will headline Capitol Hill Block Party on Sunday, July 25.
In the course of our conversation, I asked Fertita and Mosshart to describe their very famous and highly revered bandmate Jack White. Their initial response?
A great kisser.
Lots of giggles. Ok, no, but really.
Nice and pleasant, with serial killer potential.
A little better, but not three words. One more try?
Awesome, rad, and cool.
Fertita did eventually get more descriptive, saying of White,
He’s a very motivating guy. One of the hardest-working people I’ve ever met. His mind works unlike anybody I’ve ever known.
