Friday night Pearl Jam wrapped up its latest tour at Key Arena with a charged performance that belied the band’s years.
The band played a full set, plus two extended encores in support of the band’s tenth full-length album, Lightning Bolt, a collection of songs that Seattle Weekly reviewer Clint Brownlee called “equal parts adrenaline and oxytocin, a balance befitting midlife’s precarious perspective. It catches Pearl Jam looking both behind and beyond.” The band would follow that formula, pulling largely from the new material, but also looking back at a career spanning 22 years to the band’s 1991 debut Ten. In honor of that storied past here are ten shots of the band on Friday night. Click “more photos” to the right to launch the slideshow.
