Hoarse Lords, the latest Kramer-mastered full length hatched from the nest of the profusely psychedelic noir-punks Clipd Beaks, is a mind-altering gatekeeper that allows you to wander their loud, turbulent, and damaged world, where heavy bass lines, monstrous drums, anxious, delayed vocal attacks, messy keyboards, and cutting guitar progressions fill the air. If hell were actually where the party was at, then this would be on the sound system. On High on Charms, vocalist Nic Barbeiri calls out, Down, down, tear it down/Wholl wear the violence now? like the barbaric leader of a battle between good and evil. But the fight they put up live is band-against-the-crowd, where the audience is tested to endure the California foursomes blissful, exciting noise and Barbeiris smallish frame flailing, writhing, and churning in the thick of the action. Earplugs and psychedelic enhancements highly recommended. PartMan PartHorse and Casy and Brian open.
