Weve all experienced our fair share of bullshit teenage melodrama, and its something that doesnt need to be relived, no matter what mistakes were made. So, it comes as a relief to discover that the five long-haired kids in the Lonely H, all of whom graduated from high school last month, dont show their age in their music. In fact, their latest and second full-length, Hair, displays the Lonely Hs strong sense of musical maturity that just as easily couldve come from someone whos twice their age and three times more experienced. Their downright catchy and classic-rock riffing songs are carried by Mark Fredsons warm vocals and nimble fingers on the piano, and the youthful, optimistic spirit of the band shines like a torch being passed down by their elders. Dont look backthese guys have a promising future ahead of them.
