As an MC, Candidt has come to be an integral part of the Northwest’s storied Oldominion collective. He put his quirky penmanship on full display with his debut LP, last year’s Sweatsuit & Churchshoes. You might also recognize Candidt for his role as a promoter: He organized the Rendezvous’ long-running monthly showcase The Corner—a show-and-prove that gave untested lyricists the rare opportunity to earn their chops on the same bill as town favorites—which ran strong for two years between 2008 and 2010. Now one-third of rap trio TH3RDZ alongside fellow Oldominion vets JFK and Xperience, Candidt is getting ready to release the group’s debut, This, That & TH3RDZ.
