Seriously Buzzfeed? No Seattle ice creameries on your list of 27 Ice Cream Shops You Need to Visit Before You Die? Clearly you have not had a Laphroaig whiskey milkshake at Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery, Red Velvet Cupcake Ice Cream at Cupcake Royale, Ube (Filipino Sweet Potato) at Full Tilt (and played pinball or arcade games while licking), Balsamic Strawberry or Honey Lavender at Molly Moon’s or Fig Vanilla at Fainting Goat Gelato — to name JUST A FEW. Molly Moon’s has its own cookbook for heaven’s sake. Just because we rule the coffee world doesn’t mean we don’t knock ‘em dead on ice cream too. In fact, we even have killer coffee/ice cream collaborations, like Stumptown Coffee with Dark Chocolate Ribbon at Cupcake Royale. Oh, and ice cream-breweries, like Bluebird, where you’ll want to try Elysian Stout or a Beer Float. And, finally, there’s our music-ice cream pairings, like Mudhoney ice cream at Full Tilt, a blend of cinammon, honey and chocolate. All that said, I’m pleased you included the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory in New York City; their Black Sesame truly is the bomb.
