After 22 years of operation in Capitol Hill, Fran’s Chocolates opens in Georgetown at the Rainier Brewery Brew House location. A new retail shop is now open for business featuring drinking chocolate, espresso and, of course, Fran’s chocolate creations. Come see the tasting room and production viewing area at their new digs.

Chipotle gets into the annual fundraising act again this year with its weirdly named Boorito event. On Friday October 31st, all kids dressed in costume will be eligible to purchase $3 boo-ritos as well as a selection of other items. Proceeds go to a good cause – the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation supporting sustainable farming practices and small family farms.

If you love craft distilleries and are into Wicca then head to The Factory Luxe on Sunday, October 19th for the Witchcraft – Dark Spirits and Potions event. 15 local distillers will participate in a VIP cocktail contest submitting secret blends of ingredients that will be judged by attendees and top local bartenders.
