Fremont’s well-known bar The Triangle closed its door for the last time Sunday night. There was a huge bash with prizes and of course karaoke. The silver lining? Seattle is finally getting a 1930s- and ’40s gangsta-themed bar. 9 Million in Unmarked Bills is set to open later this month. Yes, that is the name of the bar. Nate Rezac, the owner, says the bar will have a new look and new menu featuring drinks named after old gangsters.

Ballard has always considered itself one of Seattle’s superior neighborhoods, and now it has the chips to prove it. Snacks! is opening next Monday on Ballard Avenue, and it’s described by owner Dante Rivera as an “upscale 7-11.” Rivera is famous throughout Ballard for his hot dogs, and he plans on bringing them, and some new inventions, to Snacks!. For example, the “Chilly Dog” will be a hot-dog bun filled with soft-serve ice cream. Sort of an ice-cream sandwich thing? Sounds interesting, that’s for sure. Bustle, a new coffeehouse on the corner of Fifth and McGraw at the top of Queen Anne Hill, is boasting Antibassi coffee from Italy. With other coffee chains (coughStarbuckscough) not doing so hot lately, Bustle might have an actual shot around here.

The Porterhouse, a popular restaurant and alehouse in Mt. Vernon, is opening up a second location in West Seattle in the space vacated by Blackbird Bistro last fall. This new location will have one major change from its Mt. Vernon counterpart: all ages are welcome.Great news for Serafina fans. According to Nancy Leson at the Times, the Eastlake restaurant is opening up a new Venetian bar behind the osteria. Expect this cicchetti bar, whose name is still being negotiated, to open in September. Agua Verde, the Baja-influenced restaurant, is opening a Kirkland location this Saturday. Show up on opening day for free smoothies, tortilla chips, and salsa.
