Harvey Danger, Awesome, BOAT

A not-so-ironic return

This post is mostly for those freshly-made Seattle transplants—the variety that went to high school in the ‘90s, the ones that will inevitably see Sean Nelson’s curly mop on a Capitol Hill street and feel a strange déjà vu. Didn’t I see him in a video? Yes, you did! And his band has never gone away, though they’ve been around the world, and despite their proclamations of playing the “Last Show Ever.” Tonight’s is the second such show, and they’re matched with “Awesome,” who’ve played enough high-profile gigs this year to earn their name’s status, and a bunch of unnamed special guests. But alas, it’s not their last show, of course…in January, you can take a Carnival cruise with Harvey Danger and Barenaked Ladies from Miami to Jamaica. God damn you!
