1. Poquitos chef Manny Arce added a bunch of new homemade paletas (Mexican popsicles) to the Capitol Hill restaurant’s menu. Rotating flavors, including ginger-watermelon and tomatillo-cucumber-mint are available for $3 bucks each. That’s all fine and good, but for a dollar more you can opt for a pop con alcohol, including pineapple-cucumber-mint-tequila and “El Dude” with vanilla tequila, Kahlua, horchata and cream.

2. Shake it like a Polaroid picture: 70s and 80s dance band Hit Explosion play the final Sounds of Summer Concert Series this Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at University Village. It’s your last chance to buy a smoothie from Jamba Juice or a burger from the Ram from tents in the mini food court set up right outside the actual Jamba Juice and Ram.

3. King’s Hardware continues its Monday Movies series on the back patio at sunset tonight with the so bad, but oh-so-good JLo flick Anaconda.

4. Happy National Cupcake Day. Queen Anne residents will have to wait until late September for the newest Cupcake Royale location to opens its doors in the former Pasta and Co. space on Queen Anne Ave. But if you’ve got kids, take them down the hill today to the Seattle Children’s Museum.
