This week is sadly jammed full of closings. Last Monday, the Oceanaire Seafood Room filed for bankruptcy and closed four of its restaurants around the nation, including Seattle’s branch at Seventh and Olive. On Tuesday, Saito’s in Belltown rolled its last piece of sushi before handing the keys over to the new owner, who plans to turn the space into an Asian noodle bar and lounge. The Japanese buffet Todai in Redmond followed suit, shutting down for good on Friday. Hopefully, next week will bring more openings . . . although economic times are hard on businesses, the desire and demand for new restaurants seems as high as ever.
