Let Linda Lusk’s story be a lesson for any potential Mrs. Robinson’s out there. If you “perform a sex act” on a 14-year-old boy, you can expect that boy to brag about said act to his friends and roughly half the English-speaking world.Lusk (pictured at right) is the ex-mayor of Prosser, near Yakima. She served for three years, lost a bid for re-election and now runs a handbag shop called Get A Grip, an unfortunate name given the unspecific nature of the “sex act.”Charging documents don’t say how the 49-year-old’s inappropriate relationship with the boy began. But at some point the two began sending each other explicit text messages, including one where Lusk was partially nude.On April 28, Lusk invited the boy over to her house on his lunch break. It was there that the deed that’s gotten her into so much trouble took place.A month later Lusk was apparently stricken with a guilty conscience. She and her husband, the principal at the local high school, met with the boy’s parents and Lusk confessed.Police were already sniffing around the story because the boy had, of course, blabbed to some friends about bagging an older lady. Lusk now faces third-degree child molestation charges and a lifetime’s worth of suspicion from the other moms in her town.
