As we noted recently, professional signature-gatherers have been using the pot-legalization initiative as a way to button-hole Seattleites who might not otherwise stop to sign other measures. And it seems that some of these folks aren’t being deterred by the fact that organizers of the pot initiative already gave up yesterday afternoon. At the Fremont PCC last night, one signature-seeker was still standing at the exit trying to corral people by advertising the legalization bill. When a passing journalist asked if it didn’t seem odd to be still trying to get signatures when organizers have already declared the effort over, he replied: “They said Building 7 came down too, didn’t they?” Touche, my friend.
