Rivers Edge Chevre is the cheese moniker for Three Ring Farm in Logsden, Oregon. I don’t usually dig on smoked cheese, but this lovely little 6 oz. lump of fresh and leaf-wrapped goat cheese has a mild+ smoked aroma and flavor. The new Whole Foods at Westlake & Denny is the only place I’ve seen it ($6.49 each).

Try it with a super juicy, spicy red wine like Zinfandel. OR! I like fresh goat cheese with prunes. Red wine and Port may go together with cheese sometimes, and in theory, but prunes go with sharp cheese in practice.
