As previously reported, Chavez will be opening for dinner on Capitol Hill this upcoming Saturday the 10th at 1734 12th Ave. The Mexican eatery headed by former Cantinetta veteran Gabriel Chavez will feature tacos, small plates, a nightly seafood special and a solid selection of the requisite tequila and mezcal.

The Moon Temple will close on January 9th so we can rejoice in having yet another drug store within a three block radius – this time it’s CVS. Praise baby Jesus. At least the Drugstore Cowboys will be happy – though they will be thirsty indeed.
In happier new year news, Molly Moon’s has re-opened and is back in full swing with its full menu of ice cream available as well as seasonal flavors including eggnog, chocolate orange and vegan salted caramel ice cream. So go wash your soggy cares away with a sundae on these rainy Seattle winter days. With a cherry on top.
