Dick’s is taking its freshly cut fries North.

The biggest announcement: Based on the results of an online public poll, the next Dick’s Drive-In will be built in the Everett area. If the new northern Dick’s is a success, the beloved burger company promises its voters elsewhere that the next two will be built in the South and East regions.

Ballard is saying goodbye to Italian eatery Lombardi’s at 2200 Northwest Market Street is closing after 23 years of business. It serves its last supper on Saturday, October 9. But the neighborhood is soon welcoming Ballard Best B.B.Q. at 5463 Leary Avenue Northwest.

Coming to Capitol Hill are Gyro Cafe at 109 15th Avenue East and a Hawaiian restaurant called Pau Hana at 2344 10th Avenue East. Also, The Local Vine – previously located in Belltown – opens at 1412 12th Avenue next Monday.

First Hill scored Italian bistro Primo (with free neighborhood delivery!) at 1106 8th Avenue on First Hill and a Jimmy John’s at 1121 East Madison Street

In Georgetown, Emerald City Beer Lab is opening in the Old Rainier Brewery at 3100 Airport Way South. To celebrate the occasion, it will host a beer garden (with brats and live bands) from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 25.

Greenwood residents are getting a coffee shop – pizza parlor pairing at 7402 and 7404 Greenwood Avenue North, courtesy of Caffe Vita.

And lastly, exciting news for basketball and booze fans: Former Seattle Supersonics star Shawn Kemp may be opening a restaurant and bar at 621 1/2 Queen Anne Avenue. Kemp and his wife Marvena are listed as the applicants on paperwork needed to serve liquor at the location. Stay tuned for more deets…
