Who knew if your city wins a football championship the perks don’t stop after the rings are handed out. The NFL threw a big party right here in the Emerald City to kick off the 2014 football season. Cameos from football legends Shaun Alexander, Mack Strong, Walter Jones, and Steve Largent kicked off the festivities. Then there was the music; hometown lovlies Soundgarden started with a hefty set of songs including “Spoonman” followed up by Pharrell Williams dancing and singing his way into fans’ hearts. All in all the attendees seemed pretty damn happy with the party and for those lucky enough to have tickets to the game, it was a great way to start the season (not to mention the 36-16 win over the Packers). Check out our slideshow of the pre-game fun and stay tuned to seattleweekly.com for highlights from the game.
