1. Two more local breweries have jumped on to the canned beer bandwagon, reports Seattle Beer News. Schooner EXACT Brewing and American Brewing Company both canned IPAs this week – they’ll soon be available in six packs of 12-ounce cans at area retailers.
2. Barrio has launched “Thursday Night Flash Infusion,” a concept based on beer randalls. Every Thursday, the Capitol Hill restaurant will “flash infuse” a margarita, intensifying the flavors as the night progresses. One recent infusion combined a Strawberry Basil Margarita with Balsamic Foam.
3. Come summer, Ballard will be home to Patxi, a branch of the California-based pizza chain. The opening marks Patxi’s first Washington shop, part of a concerted expansion for the company. Patxi will open in the former Dolce Vita space and will serve Chicago-style deep dish. The Eater Seattle announcement has the restaurant’s correct pronunciation.
4. A new study shows feeling “hangry” is scientifically justified. The study looked at how married couples treat each other when their blood sugar drops. The folks at Vox have written an easily digestible explanation.
