2. Seattle Weekly is giving away two VIP tickets to the April 24 Voracious Tasting & Food Awards, where you can sample from among 60 restaurants and mixologists. Participants include Shanik, Tanaka San, Sky City, Skillet, Blind Pig Bistro and more. Tickets are also on sale now.
3. Safeco Field, already widely known for its craft beer options, is adding cask-conditioned beer to its already-impressive lineup. Starting this year, a rotating selection will be tapped at each home game, according to the Washington Beer Blog.
4. Retailers like supermarkets selling recalled meat are reported to consumers by the USDA, but restaurants are not. The Food Safety News reports this loophole means you could unwittingly consume recalled meat, as recently happened at Jack in the Box and other fast-food restaurants.
