Strong Killings

Friday, April 18

If I were ever asked Bernard Pivot’s Proust Questionnaire, I would have to pause for a moment before answering “What sound or noise do you love?” Forgoing the gimme answer, “My child’s laughter”, my all time fave would have to be the pop that goes fuzz of a needle hitting a groove (tied with it’s sexier, ballsier, big brother, a live electric guitar plugging in. mmmmmmmmmmmm fuzzyyyyyyy, ahh, excuse me…) the power that sound emanates lies not in the sound itself but the moment of giddy anticipation it creates, reminiscent of those lingering three seconds before a new love’s first kiss, so damn pleasurable it’s practically addicting. I only bring this up because thanks to Strong Killings kick-ass MySpace tracks, I’ll have the indulgence of living in that afore mentioned state of giddy anticipation until summer when I can finally see them live.
