It’s finally here, the night we’ve been furiously planning for the last few months–one of Seattle’s favorite food events. Dozens of restaurants and bars are serving up tasty bites and drinks inside the gorgeous Paramount Theater for Seattle Weekly’s 2014 Voracious Tasting & Awards.

I plan to hit as many stands as I can, like Blind Pig Bistro’s with their asparagus salad with smoked trout, horseradish and buckwheat; Miller’s Guild’s grilled shortribs with yuzu and green peppercorn and Collections Cafe’s Almond Joy Panna Cotta, among others. Here too is the chance to get a sneak peak at Mike Easton’s pizza (soon to be served in Pizzeria Gabbiano when it opens in June) and sample something outside your comfort zone perhaps, like Foie Tofu from Miyabi 45th.

And then there’s the question of what to drink: maybe Rob Roy’s ‘Pineapple Swizzle’ served hot and cold (?!) or The Gerald’s ‘Truffled Popcorn Shooter’ (??!!).

Besides eating and drinking, I’m presenting two very well-deserved awards, which you can read about here.

After that, I’ll just be roaming the room, talking to chefs and other diners. If you want to chat, I’m the woman in the grey snakeprint patterned dress (very subtle I assure you) and bright orange heels (not so subtle). No disguise!

VIP tickets are sold out, but general admission is still available. Find them here.

Cheers!
