Strictly Seattle

Dance

By Sandra Kurtz

Published on July 25, 2007

This annual summer workshop is not so strictly Seattle this year, as California teacher and choreographer Keith Johnson joins local talent Pablo Cornejo, Pat Graney, Dayna Hanson, Aiko Kinoshita, and Crispin Spaeth. If Johnson’s recent work for d9 Dance Collective is any indication, he’s an excellent addition to the roster. The three-week residency may be brief, but it’s intense, and the program’s worth of dances that result are often significant fun. This year’s edition should be no different.
