Juicy Flow and a Postmodern Twist

When Ohad Naharin returned to Batsheva in 1990 to direct the company he had begun his career with, he brought with him an eclectic basket of skills and influences: the juicy flow of his Juilliard education, the theatrical dynamism of his time with the Graham company, and a postmodern twist that led him to make a dance with a shopping cart. Since then, his work has touched on cell biology, group dynamics, and the eternal politics of his native Israel.
